These large-format sound-absorbing panels are made from polyester fibre containing recycled PET and supplied in 30 colours, with a tactile decorative finish.

Full-sheet size is 2800 × 1220mm. Suitable for acoustic feature walls, office dividers, furniture inserts, shop displays and CNC-cut bespoke shapes. The full sheets are supplied ready for further cutting and fabrication; ask Norvatex about custom CNC cutting, grooving or project requirements.

What are PET acoustic felt sheets?

These are solid, 12mm-thick panels of compressed polyester felt. The lightweight, textured surface makes them useful for decorative interior features, and the material also absorbs some reflected sound to help control echo and reverberation in suitable installations.

Common applications

Acoustic feature walls and decorative interior panels

Office dividers, desk screens and furniture components

Retail shopfitting, hospitality and commercial interiors

CNC-cut felt shapes, ceiling features and bespoke fabrication

Acoustic performance

The published specification for the 12mm PET felt reports a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.40, tested to ASTM C423. NRC measures sound absorption under defined conditions; it does not mean the product reduces room noise by 40%, and the felt is not a soundproofing barrier. Performance varies with installation and room conditions.

Recycled PET and sustainability

The published composition specification describes the felt as 100% polyester fibre incorporating 75% recycled content.
