Choosing printable floor film or wall graphic film
A material that works on an interior wall is not automatically suitable for a floor. Begin with where the graphic will be installed, how long it must stay in place and how it should be removed. Then select the exact film and print process.
Two films with different jobs
| Material | Construction and use | Printing guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Removable Floor & Wall Graphic Film, R10 | Textured PVC-free polypropylene with removable dot-pattern adhesive. For suitable short-term indoor floor promotions, events and wall or display graphics. | UV recommended for floor durability. UV, latex and eco-solvent listed for wall and display applications. |
| Scratch-Resistant Wall Graphic Film | Textured PVC-free polyester with permanent adhesive. For suitable smooth, flat interior wall surfaces. | Solvent, eco-solvent, UV and latex listed, subject to the printer, ink and application. |
Both products are supplied in 1,372mm × 25m rolls. Their adhesive, surface and intended uses differ, so check the chosen product rather than selecting on roll size alone.
Check the actual installation surface
Paint, surface condition, texture, contamination and the installation environment can affect adhesion and removal. Prepare a trial using the real or representative surface and follow the exact product guidance. For painted walls, establish the paint system and preparation requirements with the installer.
The removable grade is designed for repositionable application and appropriate removal conditions. “Removable” is not a promise of clean removal from every paint or surface. The permanent wall film is not a repositionable grade and should not be specified as one where later removal is a key requirement.
For floors, review the finished graphic
The removable floor film has a textured R10-rated surface and is designed to work without an additional protective laminate. Use the stated floor-printing recommendation and check the intended surface, traffic and cleaning conditions before producing the job.
Request the relevant slip and fire documentation where the project requires it, and confirm that it applies to the proposed use. Do not add a different laminate or substitute the permanent wall film and assume the same floor performance. R10 is a material classification, not a guarantee against slipping in every environment.
When a printable wallcovering is the better route
A pasted mural or room-scale wallcovering scheme may call for a different construction from an adhesive wall graphic. Compare Digital Wallcovering Substrates for the Deconix range, or Specialist Printable Wallcoverings for individual online finishes.
For reflective lettering and window graphics, use the separate mirror film selection guide. Choose the material around the surface and installation method as well as the appearance.
Before you order
- Identify floor, wall or display use and the expected installation period.
- Confirm surface preparation and whether later removal is required.
- Check the precise printer and ink against the selected grade.
- Approve a printed installation and removal trial.
- Confirm documentation, roll quantity and the job programme.

Questions about floor and wall graphics
Can I use the scratch-resistant wall film on a floor?
No floor suitability is claimed for that grade. Select a product intended for floor graphics and check its applicable documentation.
Do both films need an extra laminate?
The published specifications describe textured surfaces designed to perform without an additional protective overlaminate. Check the exact grade and finished application before changing that construction.
Will removable film damage paint?
Removal depends on the surface and conditions. Test the proposed film on the actual paint system and agree the installation and removal requirements before production.
